About Lectur.

In February 2026, three friends at Concordia University built an adaptive quiz app to study for their engineering midterm. Five months later, they incorporated and brought the product to market. Today it is Lectur: a bilingual learning platform made for schools and tutoring organizations, currently serving hundreds of students.

From study tool to platform.

Lectur grew out of a study tool the founders built for themselves. Within months it had become a platform for schools: one place for a course's material, practice, assignments and grades.

Everything since has been built for classrooms in Québec: French and English from the first month, grading built around the province's competencies, and a teacher who stays in charge of what the AI does.

Milestones

  1. February 2026

    Study Hub is born

Before it was Lectur, it was Study Hub: a tool the founders built to study for a midterm. Within a week it had an AI tutor and could turn a course's notes into a structured course with its own practice questions.

  2. March 2026

    Study Hub becomes Lectur

The founders opened it up to other students, building past their own course toward anything a student might need to learn, in French and English. At the end of the month it moved to lectur.ca and took its new name.

  3. April 2026

    Schools become the focus

The founders realized Lectur belonged in schools, and rebuilt it around how a classroom actually works, with the teacher in charge.

  4. June 2026

    Québec-ready grading

Lectur learned to grade the way Québec schools do, around the competencies on the provincial report card.

  5. July 2026

    Lectur Inc. is incorporated

The founders incorporated Lectur in Québec, and for the first time, the team expanded.

  6. August 2026

    Expanding to tutors

Lectur opened to tutors and tutoring organizations alongside schools, and moved its hosting to Québec City as part of its work on Law 25, Québec's privacy law.

  7. Today

    Hundreds of students

Lectur is in use with tutors and is opening to schools for the 2026-2027 school year.

Meet the team.

Four close friends who have known each other since high school. They have taken classes together, interned at the same companies and built together at hackathons, where they won several sponsor challenges as a team. Lectur is their most ambitious project yet, and the first complete platform they have launched.
